[WSBAPT] K-1 Forms for Beneficiaries - Estate Tax Returns

Colleagues,

A client (PR for his mother’s estate) has run into an issue where two of his siblings (beneficiaries under the mother’s Will) have not provided their social security numbers to the CPA preparing the tax return for the estate.  This is holding up the filing of the estate tax return.  The situation is surprising – typically beneficiaries are quick to provide their social security numbers because they want to receive their distributions.  How do you handle this?  Can I compel them to provide their SSNs to the CPA?  Can I set a reasonable deadline for them to provide their SSNs after which deadline the CPA will complete and file the tax return without issuing K-1 forms to the beneficiaries who have not supplied their SSNs?

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
