[WSBAPT] Pierce County probate review hearings mandatory

Dalynne,

              We typically file a "status report" that gives a short and simple explanation of why the estate needs to remain open (such as the estate holds real estate that needs to be sold or there is ongoing PI litigation) and asks the court to extend for 6-12 months.  In most cases if we file the report before the hearing date, the court will permit the extension, and then you do not have to appear for the hearing.  Basically the court wants to know that someone is actively handling the probate matter.

I have not attended a Pierce County review hearing in probate (which are mandatory) for several years.
What is expected to be filed - is this similar to an annual report?
Does someone have a sample or filed review hearing document to share as an example?
