[WSBAPT] Bootstrap Small Estate Affidavit for prior decedent?

Hello listmates,

This is a weird question, but I can't imagine nobody has encountered it before. I have clients who are the claiming successors to the assets of a small estate. One of the assets of the estate is the Decedent's inheritance from a different small estate. I am hoping for some encouragement — has anyone ever successfully done a Small Estate Affidavit for a claiming successor standing in the shoes of the Decedent to claim an asset of a second estate?

In a regular probate with a PR appointed this would not be a problem, but I am not so sure it can be done via Small Estate Affidavit. It does not help that the asset in question is a bank account, so of course the bank is demanding we open a full probate. Any thoughts?

 Thanks,
Sara
