[WSBAPT] Filing Probate in Different County than Will Filed?

Good Morning,

I have been asked to assist in filing a probate for a decedent whose original Will was filed "No Probate" in Whatcom County. I am in King County and would really rather do the probate here, especially since there's real estate in King County that needs to be sold.

I am sure someone has done this before. Can I just order an exemplified copy of the Will and get it admitted in King County? Or the other option I suppose is to get the Will admitted in Whatcom Ex Parte via the Clerk and ask for a transfer of venue to King at the same time. I'd like to avoid having to charge the client for me to drive up to Bellingham.

Any thoughts?

Thanks much.
Elizabeth
