Medicaid experts,
Scenario: A single person on Medicaid who owns a home has an adult disabled child who lives apart from them. If the person's Will leaves the house to the disabled child will DSHS place or enforce a lien on the house after the person's death? I know that they wouldn't if the disabled child was living in the house but what if the disabled child is not living in the house? In other words, could the disabled child inherit the house and then immediately sell it without it being subject to estate recovery?
