[WSBAPT] PR Disappeared w/ Assets

Looking for suggestions for the following scenario:

Spokane resident died April 2023. He lived in an apartment but told family he was buying or building a house.

Daughter lives abroad and consented to local friend of decedent to handle probate on her behalf.

2023 Friend filed Affidavit of Small Estate, listed himself as intestate heir to vehicle and three small accounts.

2024 Friend opened Spokane probate with Vancouver law firm in June. Vancouver law firm withdrew September 2024.

Friend has disappeared, will not answer phone - has blocked or disabled phone.

Daughter wants to replace PR with a different friend, but I am not sure how to track down assets at this point with PR off the radar.

What suggestions would you have in this situation? Hiring a Private Investigator?
