[WSBAPT] CIR becoming Equity Relatioships?

So far as I know, it's just a terminology change (and not yet widely adopted) and the legal rules haven't changed. Leslie Olson at Olson & Olson is a big advocate for the change in terminology; she thinks it's helpful to center the equitable nature of the claim.
If you recall, she, Paul Firuz, and I presented at a CLE in late 2023 regarding the effect of CIR/equity relationships on probate administration. I haven't done research on what has happened since if anything, but at the time we didn't see anything indicating a change in the actual rules; just another evolution in the term, from "meretricious relationship" to "committed intimate relationship" to "equity relationship."
Sincerely,
Eric
