[WSBAPT] Different Pierce County Publication for Notice to Creditors – the "Definitive" Response

I just called and spoke with the representative in the office of the Pierce County Superior Court Clerk.  I asked if the Clerk's Office had a list of authorized legal publications for Pierce County, and she sent me the attached list.  Because it looks like this particular document has been "around the block" in paper form, it would be a good idea to get updated information if you choose to use any one of these publications.

Another Pierce County newspaper that appears to qualify for legal notices is the weekly named "The Dispatch". I believe it formerly was published in Eatonville, but now by Seattle-based Pacific Publishing Company.  It appears still to emphasize east Pierce County news. In the July 10 issue, three of its eight pages are legal notices.

I don't expect The Dispatch has a wide readership, but neither does The Tacoma Daily Index. But The Dispatch can be read online without a subscription.  I've not used The Dispatch, but I do see in it a Notice to Creditors in a Pierce County Superior Court probate case.

Thank you for the clarification. My contact had been Ken. He is gone now. I had presumed it was a sale given that his email signature was "publisher" - and now it is being run through Sound Publishing.

Either way, they have changed terms. I'm not a fan. Would still like to know if there are other options for Pierce County.

It appears as though the Tacoma Daily Index has now been bought by Sound Publishing.

Is there a different pierce county legal publication people use for probate notice to creditors?

They use to have payment before the final publication and getting the affidavit - now I have been told that since I don't have an "account" that I must prepay despite 9 years of solid history of never being late.
