Agree with Anna. Some cryptocurrency is held on an exchange (sort of like
having a bank account). It can also be held in a hardware wallet which is
more like having cash. If you lose the hardware wallet it's gone. The
search for cryptocurrency starts, I believe, in the decedent's papers and
effects looking for keys and hardware wallets (which may look like a small
portable USB drive).
