[WSBAPT] Witnessing a Will in a Foreign Country

Good afternoon,

I have a client who anticipates being in Cyprus for the next two years, and
she wants to sign a codicil to her Will while there to deal with a change
in her estate. If I prepared a codicil and had her sign it with a couple of
Cypriot witnesses, and as long as the witness affidavit is self-proving, is
there any issue? Even without a self-proving affidavit, RCW 11.20.040
addresses absent witnesses, but am I missing something in the statutory or
common law regarding foreign witnesses?

Note: I've explored the uniform electronic wills act and am not in a
position to offer that as an option to a client.

Best,
