[WSBAPT] Canadian registration of a will of a decedent

Mom died resident of Oregon.  She has a couple of modest bank accounts in British Columbia.  The bank in BC says she should "register" the will in BC.  What's that?  Is it that simple?  Or is it really a complicated probate?
I assume we need to hire a BC attorney, but I would like to get educated before I go any further.
