Hi Diane:

I have found most of my clients are quite forgiving when I own up to a mistake. All I can do is acknowledge it and fix it, which sounds exactly like what you have done.

IMHO, the fact that you are having the feelings you report based on your experiences over the past year means that you are human, and a human attorney is a good thing.

Thank you for putting yourself out there. You are definitely not alone.

😊

Hello to all the mighty legal warriors out there.

I am having one of those, should I really stay in practice months. 2023 has been a rough year in the office due to unexpected illnesses, family deaths, loss of my assistant who kept me straight, and forgetting how long things actually take versus how long I think they should take. Some days I wonder. Today was the icing on the cake – I sent out a letter via fax and sent out the incorrect, not corrected version. My client is understandably upset. I’ve corrected the error of my way and will send out a second one but after 18 years, how have I not learned to double check my attachments………heavy sigh. Thank you in advance as I suspect one or two of you out there can relate.

Hanging on by a thread, but hanging on 😉
