The best solution from my perspective is re-recording the vesting deed. However, should they not want to do that, we find it satisfactory to craft the grantor line in the deed to the trustee as follows:
John Root and Betty Root, Husband and Wife, who acquired title as John Rout and Betty Rout, Husband and Wife”

Subject: [WSBAPT] Wrong name on deed

My client's name is spelled incorrectly on several deeds (a "u" instead of an "o"). The error was not caught by the notary or title company.

He and his wife now want to transfer the property to their living trust. Do I need to file a corrective deed first, or can this be addressed in the new deed ("correct name AKA wrong name hereby deeds to correct name as trustee")?
