[WSBAPT] Canadian Nominated in a Will as Guardian for Minor Child

Dear List-mates,

I have a Washington couple who want to name in their wills as guardian for their minor child the wife’s brother who lives in Canada. They say they do not have anyone else.

It seems problematic at so many levels, but I do not find an outright prohibition in the RCWs.

Any suggestions?
