I've successfully proven a will in which a notary signed as one of the
witnesses and also notarized the document. I proved the will based on the
direct testimony of the notary.

Don't have the case law at the tip of my fingers, but a notary can serve as
the second witness if they can attest to the necessary facts to sign a
witness affidavit now.

Listmates:

 

Off the shelf Will that was signed, notarized, but with only one Witness.  I
assume under Washington's strict rules regarding signing a Will the one in
front of me is invalid.  Has anyone seen otherwise?
