Also for consideration, RCW 11.54 allows for guardian ad litem on behalf of minor child to petition for a family support award which, in light of recent homestead limit changes, might be substantial and more than what child is otherwise to inherit if an aunt is also inheriting assets.

Greetings List Mates:
I am reaching out on behalf of the Guardian ad Litem for a 10-year-old whose parent died; the parent's real property goes to him and his aunt.
The aunt needs to refi, and we want the child's name on the property lest it not go to him ultimately.  Neither I nor the aunt's attorney have ever done this.
If you have any knowledge about what the deed should look like, we would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide.
