[WSBAPT] planning with a DSHS Lien

[Brent Williams-Ruth]

Been asked for advice and guidance for a person seeking a mortgage but his new spouse has a DSHS lien from before they were married. The concern is that the home would become subject to the lien. 

Appreciate thoughts. not sure if a separate property agreeement or post-nuptial may be effective?
