Well, I’m guessing some of you have also received an email from this delightful human – who I now see is the same person who attacked another member of this listserv last year – and who I’m fairly certain is somehow a member of this listserv or otherwise being fed postings from it. Despite her horrible email below, I wish her well and no ill will.

I forward her email to you all as an act of solidarity with my fellow attorneys to say that, if you end an otherwise phenomenal Thursday by receiving a Lovely Missive like this one, rest assured “It’s them, not you.”

Mr.  McKarcher,

We have not yet, I do not know you. However, I am very disturbed by your public post about handling an intestate probate that I wanted to express to you.

On the WSBA Probate Listserve, you allude that children entitled to 50% of their late-parents intestate success are "greedy step kids" and those who wish to challenge it, "Dare your non-spouse heirs to do something within for months. Only a lawyer who thought they could beat the CPA would waste their time." Shame on you.

How about drafting a valid will for your clients instead and doing the right thing?

As a child of an intestate probate of my late-mother, am challenging a CPA and it has cost my biological father (I am not a greedy step child) for almost six years. It has cost him a lot of money and he is on his 6th attorney. Probate is still open. My mom's last wishes were NOT to disinherit her two daughters and give everything to her husband and two sons. You probably secret your client's last will and testament too (which is felony), to benefit your client.

No need to respond or write back, I did leave you a nice Google Review for your company stating I thought you were sleazy. It's scumbags like you that give attorneys a bad name. A COMMUNITY PROPERTY AGREEMENT IS A HORRIBLE WAY FOR ESTATE PLANNING.
