[WSBAPT] Mental Health Directive - RCW 73.32.260

Listmates,

 

This is a new one for me.  PC states they want a Mental Health Directive.  I
reviewed the form set out in RCW 73.32.260.  I have never seen this form
before.  Have any of you used it?  I am at a loss how to advise a client to
check  the boxes, such as authorizing medications for psychiatric treatment,
even shock treatment.  Clearly, a person would have to be of sound mind to
sign such a document.  It seems this directive should be filled out with the
advise of the client's mental health care provider.  Your thoughts.
