That is because they can’t require it.  After jumping through the required hoops, we have had to file petitions to haul them into court to get them to accept our powers of attorney.  We ask for attorney fees.  We get both.

Interesting note - BECU will not honor a valid POA unless the agent in fact signs another form of their own which requires full and complete personally identifiable information - including the agents SSN.

funny, i don’t remember seeing that anywhere in the law that this can be required.
