Thanks for the fine summary of what turns out to be my thoughts concerning this section Brent. and thanks for your service on the BOG. I think the proper etiquette is to not regularly clutter the list-serve with thank you emails... I hope that is correct because I feel bad about not sending many many thank you emails... but I wanted to use this opportunity to thank everyone for your past a future help to me and my clients.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Post of Gratitude for this List

I joined this section about 5 years ago. Because of the collegiality I saw, I began to volunteer my time back to the WSBA. I did so because of the continuous giving nature of members of this section and their willingness to step forward with ideas, suggestions, recommendations, guidance.

Last week, I posted a query pertaining to a Will changing beneficiary designations as I was contacted by a client to help with a last minute Will.

I have to recognize the outpouring of support from those who posted responses to the list, who wrote to me privately, and who called me into the night to talk about issues relating to helping with "deathbed" bequests. I left the world of insurance coverage because I wanted to have a better impact on the world. What occurred last week is exactly why I do what I do.

I don't know everything - far from it - and once again the people on this List have stepped forward in a way that is truly demonstrable of the community that we are as colleagues.

To any young/new practitioners who are reading this. Never be afraid to post. Never hesitate to reach out and say you don't know something. The members of this section will step up as they are able to share their experiences, knowledge, forms, proposed languages, pitfalls, warnings. In short - this section has your back.

If you do not follow WSBA matters closely, you may not know that this past Fall I assumed the role of Governor of the 8th District to the WSBA Board of Governors (feel free to send any thoughts on bar issues/matters to my designated BOG email brentwr.bog at gmail.com). I took that step forward because I want to continue to give back to the legal community as a whole and have the same impact on our profession as so many of you have for me. As one of my liaison assignments, I specifically requested the RPPT section so that I can advocate and represent the people of this section to the greater WSBA world. So please, if you have any issues with the WSBA - send me a message to the above-email and I will promise to look into it for you.

Cheers to the start of a new week!
