Good morning,

I have clients who are cousins living together and set up a revocable
living trust for themselves and all their assets.

One cousin is much older than the other/expected to pass first but who
knows. If the older cousin goes into long-term care, they want to see how
they can avoid Medicaid penalties if on Medicaid and one inherits the
others' half of their jointly owned property. Can this be done through a
special kind of irrevocable trust? Referrals/self-referrals for elder
law/Medicaid attorneys also welcome.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Lieberman
