[WSBAPT] Death Certificate Troubles

I have tried to search the WA death archives and it indicated only through 1996 at this point in general and King County is only to 1907.
You can order from the Department of Health and it is taking about 3 weeks right now to receive any death certificate.
If you do not qualify pursuant to their list (next of kin, PR, courts, funeral director, etc.), you can obtain the short form certificate.

What is a short form death certificate?
The short form death certificate is a new product offered only for deaths electronically registered from January 1, 2018 to present. Short form death certificates serve as official documents printed on certified security paper and used for legal purposes. It does not contain cause and manner of death information or social security number of the deceased person. You may need this product for transferring titles (e.g. vehicles), real estate transactions, and probate cases.

You will need name, county of death and approximate death date for any death cert. from DOH.

Did you try Washington State Digital Archives?

They may not be up to date.  If it were King County, King has super current records available online.
You can't get the actual certificate but you can get the date of death.  I forget if it tells you WHERE.

Maybe see if Pierce County has death records.

Rather than going through the trouble of initiating a QT action, the title co. will accept LOPAS and certified death certificates for the 3 individuals at issue.  The problem is that I do not have the dates of death, cities of death, or funeral homes for inputting into the Pierce Co. website.  It also appears that I would need a court order to request them (??).  Does anyone have advice for how I might go about obtaining these?  I would appreciate any info.
