The Oath itself just needs to be notarized and for the oath and Probate Opening documents I have had success with just a foreign notary. That being said, there are certain financial institutions who will require more for an out of county PR who can not appear in a USA branch - I have had the worst time with Wells Fargo in particular.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Notarization from Bali?

Colleagues,

An American client living in Bali,  Indonesia needs to sign an Oath of PR.  Because of Corona,  the American embassy is closed until further notice.  Indonesian notary is available.  Will this suffice?

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

Regards,

Felicia
