I used to practice in Snohomish county, and Sno Co Required that the letters be recorded separately, with a full recording fee. Now I am out in island county, and the letters do not need to be recorded, just shown. I recently dealt with Grays Harbor Co and they are like Island in this respect. Different counties read the WACs (or ignore them) differently...

In your case of a Snohomish county clerk that did not require them to be recorded, Which I expect was an error On the clerk’s part, you might reach out to a Snohomish county title company and ask them if they would have a problem insuring title down the road... if no title issue, your client got an accidental freebie!
