[WSBAPT] Who signs a corrected quit claim deed?

Correct.  I just discovered a client's 15 year old deed prepared by a title company that omitted the Exhibit A (legal description.)  I brought it to the title company's attention.  The title company obtained a certified copy from the county auditor's office, added the Exhibit A, and then re-recorded it as a correction deed.  In fact, the title company signed the REETA stating they were both the sellers' agent and the buyer's agent.  They also paid the recording costs.   See WAC 458-61A-217

You can make the corrections on the original or certified copy of the deed, attach a coversheet and reference the re-record WAC (458-61A-217) on the excise tax affidavit. Surviving spouse can sign the excise tax affidavit.

Husband (grantor) Quit Claimed his interest in real estate to wife (grantee) shortly before his death.  The County assessor discovered a typographical error of the legal description on the Quit Claim Deed.  If I prepare a corrected Quit Claim Deed, who would sign it?  No probate was opened for husband's estate (I presume that's why the did the quit claim deed).
