Subject: Urgent request to WSBA Members....

Hello fellow WSBA members,

Immediate Call to Action

We have extremely important WSBA Board of Governor Meetings tomorrow and
Friday, May 17 and 18.

Before addressing those details, I need you all do me a big but easy favor.

The "powers that be" have waged a very effective misinformation campaign
against Rajeev Majumdar as a WSBA President and supporting another candidate

I believe three current Governors have been targeted by this campaign:
Dan Clark (danclarkbog at yahoo.com)
Kyle Schiuchetti (kyle.s at bullivant.com)
Brian Tollefson (tollefsonbog at outlook.com)
First of all, I believe Rajeev is the strongest, best candidate among the
three and he has my vote.

But more importantly, this misinformation campaign may have created some
doubt in the minds of these governors as to whether WSBA members really
support change/reforms. They are getting calls from former WSBA presidents,
governors and other supporters of the status quo all saying the same
scripted messages.

I respect and admire Dan, Kyle and Brian as colleagues and friends, but I
believe they need to hear directly from more Members who support change.

So PLEASE, all of you, immediately send an email to each of these Governors
(and please bcc me) that says something friendly and positive along these
lines:

Subject line: I support change at the WSBA!

Email text: Dear Governor _____, as a Member of the WSBA, I support
immediate change in WSBA governance and leadership in order to restore
balance in WSBA governance and leadership.

Sincerely,

[Member Name]

Please send these emails immediately - thank you!

Board of Governors Meetings May 17 and 18

I would love to see 100 of you show up for the Board of Governor meetings
this Thursday and Friday.

The opponents of reform will have 30+ folks in seats and speaking against
reform. Supporters of reform must be equally (and hopefully better)
represented.

As you can see below, it's a complicated agenda. I plan to come up with some
possible talking points to share tonight or early tomorrow on the underlined
items of key interest to Members.
Here is the BOG Meeting Agenda May 17 and 18

Here is a link to the 740 pages of Public Materials May 17 18
In person attendance is most effective. But if you must call in, here is
that info - 866.577.9294; Code: 52810#
To attend via webcast - that link should be live tomorrow here - https://www
wsba.org/about-wsba/who-we-are/board-of-governors
Key agenda items:

Interview and Selection of 2018-2019 WSBA President-Elect

Interview and Selection of 2018-2021 WSBA At-Large (New and Young Lawyers)

Approve Proposed WSBA Bylaw Amendments re President’s and Governors’
Authority
Approve Addition of New Governors Work Group Charter and Roster – Governor
Alec Stephens and Governor Dan Bridges (action)
Approve President-elect Selection Work Group Charter and Roster – Governor
Chris Meserve (action)

Continued Discussion of Referendum Process Review Work Group Recommendations

Please feel free to share this email broadly among other potentially
interested WSBA members.

If you received this email from another WSBA member and want to be on my
