Certified and exemplified copies. The bureaucracy will probably want an exemplified copy, which you can obtain from the Clerk.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Fwd: Court clerk certification

Hi, all,

I have clients who are trying to get their WA adoption recognized in France. The French bureaucracy wants proof that the Decree of Adoption (signed by a judge and filed with the court) is final. From my experience with ancillary probates, I know there are two different certification-plus things the court clerk can do. However, I can’t remember what they are called – maybe verification and something else. Help?
