Lovie,

I have done these for clients (and myself) for use on vacations.  I use my regular POA forms but put in start and end dates.  The end date should be the expected return date or the "actual return date, whichever is later."  I have named a traveling companion as AIF if appropriate and specified that this special POA doesn't conflict with another if they have one.

I have a young adult client who will be traveling abroad to a number of counties for nine months. Her program recommends she have a durable power of attorney. Does anyone have a form they are willing to share that would serve this situation? I'm thinking that it would name one of her parents as attorney-in-fact for the duration of her trip.
