It may be worth checking with the US Embassby to see if they do not have a US notary there who could notarize a special power of attorney which could be emailed or express mailed to your client. Of course, you would want to get the approval of the title company first.

Subject: [WSBAPT] Client vacationing in Norway - needs Immediate Durable Power of Attorney

Hello,

A client who is vacationing in Norway and selling his house here wants his wife here to be able to sign for him, but he did not execute an immediate POA before he left. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to handle this?

Thank you.
Best,
Sandy
