[WSBAPT] Bank wont accept POA (again)

So long as the DPOA is patently valid with clear authority and bank's
refusal is without cause, threaten the bank you will ask for attorney fees,
which can be awarded pursuant to the statutes, if you go to court. This may
give the bank something to rethink its position.

I've reviewed the multiple emails from the list serve re: banks refusing to
honor valid POA.  I have a client who is facing guardianship for parent due
to this issue.  Has anyone successfully filed a petition with the court
under RCW 11.94.120 (I) and RCW 11.94.090 to compel a bank to honor such
POA?

Thanks all. The client has only a day or two to live so any fight will be

too late. Im helping AIF find another avenue to get result he needs, but

still am planning on having a little sit-down at a future date with the

branch manager to discuss this - its appalling.
