Having seen great good coming from Providence Hospice, I passed on this story to the Director (taking care to not disclose any source, names, etc).  

Her response is attached below, which I am sharing for the good of the order.  If anyone has any questions or concerns or has additional feedback for the hospice, I would encourage you to speak with the director, as the goal for all concerned is to ensure a compassionate, professional, and appropriate experience for families dealing with end of life.

I am very sad that this family member had such a bad experience.  It is very hard to lose someone you love and when you don’t feel that you are supported it is especially difficult.  I would be happy to talk with them if they would like.  Please feel free to share my name and number.
