Subject: [WSBAPT] probate in same county as death?

Hello list mates,
Testator died in King County, Seattle, WA. Personal Representative lives in Whitman County, WA. She would like to open the probate in Whitman County. RCW 11.20.010 states the will shall be delivered to the court having jurisdiction.
Does the probate have to be in King County? Can she file it in Whitman County?
Thanks in advance,Jenna BrozikAttorney at LawPrinz & Brozik PLLC445 S Grand AvePullman, WA 99163(509)338-0908 / (509) 338-3527 (fax)jennaprinzlaw at gmail.com
