You could do a "Complete Restatement", but calling the amendment a First
seems to me to be a misrepresentation. It would need to revoke the original
First anyway, and by mentioning it, the change would be emphasized.

Is it ever appropriate/ acceptable to replace a "First Amendment with a new
"First Amendment"? I would always just do a 2d Amendment but in this case
client is very concerned that the problem son for whom the second amendment
reduces a gift will see that there was a change and be angry - causing him
to seek to challenge it.
