[WSBAPT] Amendment to RLT

Is it ever appropriate/ acceptable to replace a "First Amendment with a new "First Amendment"?  I would always just do a 2d Amendment but in this case client is very concerned that the problem son for whom the second amendment reduces a gift will see that there was a change and be angry - causing him to seek to challenge it.
