[WSBAPT] SNT

Most SNTs are broad enough to give the trustee complete discretion. I would hesitate to point out a specific disability and attempt to address it with language in a SNT because truly you cannot cover it all. Whatever if the bipolar leads to drug abuse? Should you have a provision in there as well covering rehab? The idea of a SNT is to give the discretion to the trustee to utilize the assets of the trust that improves the quality of life for the beneficiary while maintaining eligibility for government programs.

Does anyone out there have provisions they might share for a SNT involving a beneficiary who is bi-polar? In this case the benef for the most part functions quite well for years, but hits some episodes for which his medicine needs to be changed or he may need to go to the hospital for a while

Thank you
