I withdraw my attempt at humor. I cannot compete with Mr. Sullivan’s story. But, John, you are luck that it was poppy seeds and not sesame seed, which are bigger and would hurt more.

Is this a MIB issue? I had a problem 25 years ago when I applied for life insurance. I regularly had poppy seed bagels for breakfast back then. When I pissed in the cup I was rejected as an opium addict and the report was submitted to the MIB.

Back then there was no appeal or other method of challenge, with the exception of submitting my own letter explaining the circumstances and contesting the conclusion, which is what I did.

I have a client who has had some incorrect information placed in his medical file, and the hospital/doctor has thus far refused to cooperate in removing it. It has also prevented him from getting life insurance.

Thank you in advance for any referrals. I will pass them on to the client.
