Karen Temple is in Maui. I had some clients that used her estate planning services and had nothing but wonderful things to say. Here is a link to her website: http://ktemplelaw.com/

I usually do the deed, get it signed and then find an attorney to process it. Be aware of large capital gains in Hawaii with such a gift. If you have the past deed you can work from that. Depends on fee simple land or the leased land. Need to process in different offices and they don't like haoles so if you try yourself it will come back at least once. I have been known to sign two in case the first is lost or damaged. I usually use a Rev trust to his and transfer title there.

Hi All,

Does anyone know an attorney in Hawaii (Maui in particular, but anywhere in the State is fine) who can prepare a deed transferring a time share interest from husband and wife to their adult daughter? An attorney practicing in real property or estate planning should work. If you know anyone, please send me their name and, if possible, contact information as soon as possible. Time is of the essence since PC has been given a short time to live and he is trying to get his affairs in order.

Thanks!
