[WSBAPT] Recording community property agreement and death certificate - identity theft

Good afternoon.

The Washington Probate Deskbook suggests that the surviving spouse should
record the community property agreement, “along with a certified copy of
the death certificate. . . .” Page 4-9. The death certificate contains
information that could increase the risk of identity theft, such as, the
decedent’s social security number.

Is there an alternative to the death certificate that attorneys are using?

Thank you.

David
