[WSBAPT] Recording copies

A client told me that she took a copy of a deed and her REETA to the King
County recorder's office and they recorded the deed. I am surprised at
this, actually more than surprised. She said that after recording someone
there noticed that it was a copy (it was stamped "COPY") but said it was
okay. I told her to record the original, which I had, and I sent it to
her, but what do people think about recording a deed copy?
