[WSBAPT] Real Estate Step-up

I have a client whose husband of 50+ years passed away.  His Will leaves
everything to his wife, including the family home that they purchased
together in the early years of their marriage.  The title is in both of
their names.  

 

Any suggestions as to what type of document or procedure would best to
transfer title from his and hers to just hers? In particular, the widow is
concerned about a step-up in basis.  Is there any reason that a PR Deed
would be insufficient?
