[wsbapt] Advice on new Mac

Happy new year!

I'm about to buy a new Mac, and am looking for wisdom from those who use
Mac.  I switched from a pc to a MacPro a few years back, using the Office
for Mac, and have for the most part been good with it.  Still some
headaches, but then I'm not too tech-savvy... Now I'm going to get a newer
Mac, the other having run its course. 

I am considering an Air instead of a Pro, primarily for the lightness.
Thoughts?

Also considering including Outlook (in Office for Mac) for contacts, file
management, and conflicts.  Good choice or is there a better choice?

Finally, I'm considering, if this seems too complicated, engaging someone
to get all this set up and running for me, but don't know a computer geek
who knows both law offices and Macs. 

Any advice from folks with experience with any of this would be most
appreciated.
