[WSBAPT] [SPAM] Effect -procedure re criminal bond- guarantor

Hi - new to list so I hope I am submitting this question correctly: 

Prior to his death, the decedent's son was charged with a crime. Deceased
put a cash bond of $100,000, co- signed a fee agreement with son for the
services of a criminal lawyer and paid $50,000 towards those services. I
am assuming that I notify the Lawyer that the Agreement is terminated as
to future services and request a refund of the monies paid and unearned
and have the Lawyer send us a lien on the son's inheritance? And, what
about that cash bond?  Do we send notice to the Court that the Estate is
now the owner and just wait for trial? Thanks
