The Civil Rights movement soon on the rise.
MLK and his "I Have a Dream" speech --
all realized the black leader was wise.
Muhammad Ali with his moves could teach.
"The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", James Bond,
and "Our Man Flint" -- spies of a new order.
The best designer suits secret agents donned.
They chased villains from border to border.
A killer's bullet ends MLK's life.
Sirhan Sirhan kills R. F. Kennedy.
"The Graduate" to movies gives new life.
Spaghetti Westerns make the nation heady.
Steve McQueen with "Bullitt" raises a storm.
"The Wild Bunch" makes Sam Peckinpah a star.
To Newman and Redford's film people swarm.
Liz Taylor, Loren and Welch are hot stars.
On July 20, Nineteen Sixty-nine,
Apollo 11 lands on the moon.
Neil Armstrong: "...one giant leap for mankind."
Everyone wanted to head for the moon.
Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper ride
Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide bikes
in "Easy Rider". Film buffs loved the ride.
Sales of Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" hiked.
Students hold protests against Vietnam war.
Hippies spread love with their "Flower Power"
and through their slogans of "Make Love, Not War".
Woodstock with music and peace world showers.
Here the "Rain Chant" was sung by one and all.
"Jingo", "Soul Sacrifice" soared Santana.
The Sharon Tate murders -- a curtain call
on an innocent Americana.
