[Vision2020] Stunned again, but pleasantly

Yesterday I posted that I was stunned when the Spokesman Review publisher,
after specifying the many ways that Donald Trump was an abysmal person and
president, endorsed him (I summarize here in my own words) because "he
would make the economy hum again."

Today Rob Curley (the editor, not the publisher) is on the front page
saying:

"...our opinions really should be from our community and we should continue
to throw out traditions like unsigned editorials. When you get rid of the
things that no longer matter, you can zero in on the things that are
essential.

Getting better isn’t just about what you do, but about what you don’t do.

So we are no longer running unsigned editorials and we are dropping
endorsements.

Rob Curley's job as editor is to keep the newspaper a viable journalistic
enterprise and to even improve it. He has just done that.
