This offer remains in effect . . .

Two thousand dollars to be awarded to the person (or group) who creates a city song for Moscow (the one in Idaho) and is adopted by the city of Moscow.

Preference is given to songs similar to . . .

“My Hometown” by Keevy Hazelton

I presented this idea to the City Arts Department about four or five years ago. However, they felt that if a city song was adopted, it would have to be updated every year. That’s a lie. How old are the city songs of New York, Chicago, San Francisco . . . without ever being “updated”.

I believe that a city song would enhance Moscow’s uniqueness.

So, how about it? Anybody care to assist in this cause?

Seeya 'round town, Moscow, because . . .
