[Vision2020] Dam Breaching

"Dam Breaching" was the topic at the League of Women Voters of Moscow speakers forum on January 18th in the Fiske Room of the 1912 Community Center.
 
Joseph Anderson and David Doeringsfeld discussed the negative impact of breaching the four Lower Snake River dams on area agriculture and the future of Lewiston as a deep-water port at the League of Women Voters of Moscow speakers forum on January 18th in the Fiske Room of the 1912 Community Center.
 
Anderson is a fourth-generation wheat farmer from Genesee. He farms about 4,400 acres grain, oilseed and pulse crops with his brother Jay. He holds bachelor's degrees in ag economics and ag mechanization from the University of Idaho. He is a past president of the Idaho Grain Producers and currently serves on the Idaho Wheat Commission.
 
David Doeringsfeld has served as the general manager of the Port of Lewiston for 23 years and he is involved in numerous transportation, economic development and natural resource related issues. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Idaho and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota.
