Subject: CRF's Highly Anticipated Community Event

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year! I am with CRF, a recognized student group at University of Idaho, and we are working on a big event to be held at University of Idaho SUB Ballroom for January 26th at 7:30pm. We have been able to arrange a presentation by Pastor Voddie Baucham for this event on his topic, “Why Gay is not the New Black." We have chosen to open this event up to the community because we hope to contribute toward the University of Idaho's commitment to hosting diverse speakers and their topics in order to inspire truly thought-provoking conversations on campus. As I am sure you have no difficulty seeing for yourself, the topic of this talk is not your standard university presentation, and we believe that the diversifying nature of this event will be important for true diversity at U of I. This message connects so many of the cultural issues we are dealing with right now, from our nation's debate on sexuality, to race riots, and what influence, if any at all in our present day, being made in the image of God affects the way we live and treat each other. Below are a couple articles/interviews Voddie has done on this topic:

We, of course, welcome all students to the presentation and the Q&A to follow Voddie’s talk where we hope to have honest, intriguing, and various conversation given the number of culturally-relevant topics involved in the presentation. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer promptly. We look forward to the possibility of meeting you at the event. Cheers
