Windy, rainy spirit blowing in for Halloween
Trick-or-Treaters may want to add an umbrella to their costume and hold on tight to their treat bags as forecasters are predicting strong winds and rains to sweep the region this weekend.
“An autumn storm system will blow into the Pacific Northwest on Halloween like an angry spirit,” states a press release from Washington State University meteorologists.
A storm front will sit over Washington, Idaho and Oregon Saturday morning with rain and wind intensifying over the afternoon, although temperatures will remain mild, according to WSU.
Expect sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph and possible gusts up to 50 mph. WSU meteorologists say the eastern region of Washington is likely to see intermittent rainfall, while the west side will have a more steady rainfall. Temperatures will range from the high 50’s and low 60’s and lows around 48 overnight.
The storm should come to an end Sunday, with much cooler temperatures expected for the next week.

"There's room at the top they are telling you still.
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill,
If you want to be like the folks on the hill."
