Despite the erroneous claims repeated in various media that global warming
has leveled or stopped since the 1990s, utilizing misleading graphs and
incorrect interpretations of data, as shown at these websites,

http://www.forbes.com/sites/peterferrara/2014/02/24/the-period-of-no-global-warming-will-soon-be-longer-than-the-period-of-actual-global-warming/
http://www.climatedepot.com/2015/06/03/global-warming-standstillpause-increases-to-a-new-record-length-18-years-6-months/
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/10/02/its-official-no-global-warming-for-18-years-1-month/

the latest temperature data from NCDC/NOAA shows exactly what the subject
heading indicates (along with the fact that five of the six warmest years
have occurred from 2005-14). This is in part due to a strong El Nino in
2015, predicted to continue into winter/spring 2015/16, which on average
should indicate a warmer dryer winter for the Pacific Northwest, bad news
for the local fire season next year, given likelihood of another dry fire
season in 2016:
